The federal government on Friday reduced petroleum products prices up to Rs 1.77 per litre consistent with the discount in oil costs in international market efficient today (Saturday). Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has issued notification in this regard.
The spokesman of the authority has mentioned that the costs of Motor Spirit, HOBC, Kerosene Oil and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) have been decreased by Rs 1.67 per litre, Rs 1.77 per litre, Rs 1.44 per litre and Rs 1.67 per litre respectively. The new price of Motor Spirit will probably be Rs 60.46 per litre, HOBC 77.01 per litre, kerosene oil Rs 57.91 per litre and LDO Rs 53.27 per litre.
Even after the current reduction in oil prices, the government would proceed charging Rs eleven.Ninety three per litre petroleum levy (PL) on Motor Spirit, Rs sixteen.Forty per litre on HOBC, Rs 6 per litre on kerosene oil and Rs three per litre on LDO. Ogra also notified most sale value of CNG at Rs 49.Seventy three per kg in NWFP, Balochistan and Potohar region and Rs forty eight.Fifty four per kg in Sindh and Punjab excluding Potohar area. Earlier the utmost sale value of CNG was Rs 50 per kg in NWFP, Balochistan and Potohar area.
Ogra in its notification has mentioned that in exercise of powers conferred by part 43 B of Ogra ordinance 2009, the authority is happy to find out and notify, for the aim of stated ordinance, the maximum sale worth of CNG from shoppers to be charged by a licensee (CNG station) from a shopper for vehicular or the opposite cellular use, with impact from August 1, 2009.
